Promotion/ relegation info
Now that the season is over (and national league play-offs are all complete) you would have thought that we knew for certain who was promoted/relegated etc. But we don’t yet! There are a lot of league restructures and changes due to other club teams dropping out of leagues etc. One thing we do know is that the Ladies 3s are promoted! They finished 3rd in their league, and it has now been confirmed that they are promoted. Congratulations to Emma Cragg and all of her players! The Ladies 2s are still waiting to find out if they are relegated – fingers crossed there!
In the Mens section there are huge changes for next year. The South league has had a complete restructure, which has turned out very favourably for our Mens 2s. They now have much less distance to travel, and are in the same league as Rover 1s. The Mens 3s have also moved league to Div 2 thanks to Wycombe 1s avoiding relegation from a higher league. Have a look at the South League website for more detail – it makes for quite a good read (if you have a spare half hour!). But there is quite a useful picture on there which shows what’s happening. http://www.south-league.com/ (click on Open League 2009/10 on the right)
AGM
The AGM took place on Saturday 30th June and was superbly attended. Thanks must go to Jan Roche and John Kaluza for arranging the BBQ in the evening!
Most positions were filled, and it is fantastic to have almost all captains in place for next season already (details in the attached). The following positions are however still vacant – please contact Adrian Higgins if you would like any information about what they entail.
